Mock editorial illustration based on an article about a man named Steve Marsh who travels to the Blue Morpho Shamanic Center in Peru and has a guided journey via ritual ayahuasca consumption... yet another weirdy drug-inspired piece, but I've been pretty interested in researching DMT-related things (as it's the main psychedelic component of ayahuasca; one of the most powerful known tryptamines that's present in every living species). I wanted to play on the concept of rebirth, both in the feeling that this man had while taking the drug and how the feeling of "rebirth" seems to be consistent in ayahuasca/DMT users' visions and experiences, by making a sort of placenta/amniotic sac like symbol constructed from the ayahuasca vines themselves.
