Persephone is the red one and Ukiyo is, well, the only one left. X3
I started this a while ago after the wedding. i couldn't really think of a BG so I put it off until today when I had a wierd idea. My art teachers suggested that 1. The wings would be yellow green instead of the original sea green because they looked flat and 2. The Bg should be purple. So I colored it purple in markers and used a technique I discovered earlier; dripping water onto markers, especially this one cuz it looks cool that way. (only here I used too much water. Oops!) I did it all in markers, and touched a lot of the characters up with colored pencil. (white and yellow prismacolors) Anyway... Re-drawing Persephone was a real pain. I put too much detail into the original pic of her ([link]) and I had to re-copy it all. I made her mouth too generic-looking and anime-styled. (like I said I try to bend the rules of "anime" style art) I like the way Ukiyo came out. A lot of the design was taken from ~Wairu's design of Ukiyo's dress for my SL contest (it won 2nd place! Come look; [link]) so Wairu, this is your prize for winning the contest! XD Enjoy! PS: Okay, currently in Star Labyrinth (i'm almost at the end), both Persephone and Ukiyo are dead. Persephone was mistaken for an evil spirit and Inferna (her son) slashed her and she died... (she was possessed by Tamashii to kill him) and Ukiyo died from some kind of pregnancy problem right before Tamashii committed suicide. (can you guess why he killed himself? lol) Her baby was never born. MATERIALS USED: Micron 05 sepia inking pen, micron 1 mm. pen (i have a heavy outline fetish!), watercolor brush markers, Prismacolor colored pencils, navy blue Copic marker for the shadows of Ukiyo's dress, water for the BG. TIME TAKEN: Total? Hm. Like over an hour. Maybe an hour and a half because I was kinda stumped on the background.
