My sketchbook assignment for art. :bucktooth: Got a 98 on it and decided it looked decent enough to post since I allegedly haven't done anything creative in a while. :ohnoes: Well, it's also something I've wanted to do for a while, it's an experiment of what I could possibly do with only 3 colors. In CRAYON (TGI Friday's crayons, haha). And black, too. Only the black was sparkly in the original. :(

Since it was supposed to be abstract I got worried about it actually being objective, and the artist I had to research did this one painting here: [link] so my dad and I came up with the idea of some shadowy thing with a checkerboard, and BAM. WHEE.

I really hate how I epically failed at making the whole left side of the rainbowy part have dimension because I couldn't figure out how to darken the blue with just red. :hmm: I only did it correctly once, so I'm disappointed with that, but oh well. :ohnoes:

I'm SORRY that I haven't been drawing enough, I've been doing lots of doodles (I wants to make a Carnevale dress) and stuff and I still have those stupid WIP's... so keep checking once in a while. =P Enjoy.


MATERIALS USED: Red, blue, yellow, and black crayon on sketchbook paper. Touched up on PSP X.

Love the colors! In my art class, we have to do a sketchbook assignment where we have to draw fruit using only the primary and secondary colors. Yours seems more fun though. Crayons are a fun media to use. =D
