I decided to not submit this in photomanipulation, but I just want to add right here and now that this is in fact manipulated. I took a LOT of pictures in the same general area and the two birds were originally not part of this photo, so I cloned them into the photo. It's definitely all mine, though.
So this weekend, a whole slew of family drama ensued that I won't go into detail about... but on Saturday I spent the night at my aunt's house in Southampton with my mom and my aunts and their friends all went to a beach to go fishing for the day. I did catch one fish, but that was about it until I gave up. My phone was dying and since my harassment target is off-limits I have nobody to text-spam anymore (), I got tired of my music after a while, I didn't want to fish anymore... so I took pictures all day. And surprisingly enough, my point and shoot battery didn't even come close to dying. I WANTED my pola with me but I didn't bring it. Or my DSLR. meh.
There was this one point shortly before we started packing everything up where I'd never seen the sky look so unusually amazing and picturesque before. So I took a whole crapload of photos. I experimented a lot with timing, waiting for seagulls, and I even threw rocks into the water to get the splash right (only the family next to us stared at me a lot and I got uncomfortable so I stopped).
I apologize for the lack of aesthetic and/or artistic value in this photo, but I suppose my main objective was to actually show everyone what the sky looked like that day against the ocean. I would love to go back down there sometime this year and take pictures again.
btw, it was a LOT hotter than I thought it would be so I got a pretty sick flip flop tan there.
It's beautiful, I love the colours in it. The birds totally look like they belong, great manip job. I hate when you're trying to take nice pictures and people stare ><

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
