Yup, re-submitting this time. (see journal for more info)

Whewt, so this is my first completed artwork I have done being 14! Yay! XDD;

The penciling for this was actually done a few days before my birthday and finished about 2 or 3 days after. It was colored with all the copics I had left that were ctually alive. Turned out I had a bunch. XDD; I went to the city on Saturday and bought, like, nine more. 29 aliveish ones! Yay! XDD;

Well, overall this took... ages and ages. x_x Hours and hours. Whatever. I put sooo much detail into this one... I'm aiming for more highly detailed pieces from now on, and I'm promising to work on better anatomy (especially w/ hands) as a response to the massive amount of critique I got on my DD x_x I focused way too much on the design rather than the anatomy on that one so it sucked. lol. So I'll try harder next time. Plus I'm aiming to take more time on my artworks too.

There are lots of problems with this one, sadly. The border is messed up at the top (it takes a while to see where I messed up with the direction of the curls; it was based off a ribbon my friend gave to me that came with my bday present), the wings are uneven (although I've been told that they don't have to be perfectly symmetrical), I think the BG doesn't match the foreground but everyone keeps telling me it does... one side of the border is fatter than the other... well, this is only, like, the second time I've done a complicated border on my artwork so don't blame me. I just started doing it. The fishnets are funky looking... and I still suck at foreshortening. Ah well...

...so, enjoy, I guess! I tried my best to create something productive during my artblock! XDD; You might notice it's really similar to [link] because, well, I love coloring with purple, drawing long flowy dresses, wings, and ribbons.

MATERIALS USED: Mostly Copics for coloring, a bit of watercolor brush marker for the eyeshadow (did I mention I never really draw girls with closed eyes either? lol.), Prismacolor white charcoal pencil, white calligraphy ink w/ pen nib.
